Very interesting. I think the same applies to those responsible for most television programming these days. The woke-preachier it gets, the more people opt out. I myself have taken to watching shows from before the year 2000, when the wokeness was (in comparison to today at least) at a minimum.

Agreed. There are several websites devoted to sourcing non-woke film and television. One is https://www.outkick.com/6-unwoke-tv-shows-you-can-watch-now/.

I’m currently writing an essay on the destructive elements within DEI as manifested in our entertainment unions, which addresses some of this. I sit in the National board of SAG-AFTRA and Sally sadly have had a front row seat for the capture of my beautiful union, so I’m obliged to speak up now. Thanks for reading! Much appreciated.

I checked out the Outkick article; thanks. I appreciate being forewarned on these things. In fact, I am tempted to let shows play out completely and then get a review on the level of wokeness, because I get super-annoyed when I invest three seasons into a show only to have it go woke-crazy in season four!

Ha, that's funny—I worked as a union extra/stand-in during the years 1997–2000. I kept paying my dues for a few years after that, so now I guess I am on honorable withdrawal or whatever it's called. I wasn't really involved in SAG politics at all (other than the opportunity to vote for officers), so I don't know what it was like then in comparison to now. But given the ideological capture of the rest of our society, I can only imagine!

Sadly, it’s worse than you can imagine, like so much else!
